Northeast Washington’s development boom continues as investors continue to roll out new planned projects. Two residential buildings are currently in the planning phase for an industrial site in Brookland. The project, tentatively named Hanover 8th Street, is being developed by a team led by The Hanover Company.
Project plans call for 371 apartments spread across the two buildings with a shared courtyard at Jackson and 8th Streets, NE. Approximately 186 parking spaces will be provided in a below-grade parking garage.
The existing site is 90,289 sq. ft. recorded at 3201 and 3135 8th Street, NE. The planned new development requires re-zoning to MU-4, which would permit by-right moderate mixed use development.
