Plans filed call for four stories which will include a penthouse level as well as a residential basement level. Five of the 41 total units in the building will be allocated to the city’s inclusionary zoning program.
Like so many new projects taking up DC’s ever-shrinking available space, the project has to overcome parking-related obstacles. The developer’s application is seeking exceptions to the required 12 parking spots for that size building. The DC Streetcar, available Metrobus and the quick walk down to the H Street Corridor are all very valid & tangible reasons given for the request for exception.
